2. What services do you provide? How do I get a quote? Is the quote free?
We provide commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning
per NFPA standard, as well as flatwork cleaning
to keep your location looking good.
We also provide exhaust system parts, including:
- Hood light bulbs and globes (covers for lights)
- Hood filters, stainless or galvanized. We do NOT sell aluminum hood filters.

- Grease containment for exhaust fans (box style).
- Exhaust and Return fan belts
We do not service nor provide parts for residential systems, but we may be able to answer questions relating to residential systems.
Setting up service is easy - call us or
fill out an appointment form
and we will contact you! We will send a technician to inspect your system and offer a
free quote.
3. When can I expect a reply? What is your lead time on service?
Appointment requests will be answered within 24 hours. Messages left on our business line will be answered on the next business day.
We schedule cleanings in accordance with NFPA standards and subject to local fire marshal standards. We try to schedule 1-2 weeks in advance for cleanings. Quotes are scheduled on an individual basis and the lead time varies from same day to 1 week. Once a quote is sent, expect the cleaning to be scheduled in the next 1-3 weeks.
5. Do you install or sell hoods/ductwork/fans?
We do not sell or install commercial or residential hoods. We do not currently sell or install ductwork. We do sell and install exhaust fans, return units, access panels for ductwork, and exhaust fan parts (motors, bearings, pulleys).
6. How much does cleaning cost? What is a restorative fee?
We pride ourselves on the quality of our work. Therefore, the minimum price we charge for an exhaust cleaning is $350. We base our cleaning cost on the time it takes to service the system, which includes the size of the system and the level of grease buildup.
Our first cleaning of a system may need additional work to get the system back to NFPA compliance. In these instances, your quote will include a restorative fee for systems with excessive buildup or neglected areas.
7. Can I clean my hood filters myself?
Yes, NFPA 96.1 does not require an exhaust company to clean the hood filters. However, it may be easier for us to clean them depending upon the type and level of buildup. Filters are included in new quotes by default.
8. How often should my system be cleaned?
NFPA 96 provides a frequency table which is accessible on our
"Hood & Exhaust Cleaning"
page. Generally, most restaurant systems are cleaned quarterly. Lower volume cooking operations such as day cares, nursing homes, churches, and seasonal locations are usually cleaned every 6-12 months. Systems relying on wood burning (i.e. solid fuel) must be cleaned monthly.
9. Can Georgia Vent Works provide a COI or W-9?
Yes, we will provide a COI and/or W-9 for your convenience if required.
10. Is Georgia Vent Works licensed and insured?
Yes, we are licensed and fully insured.
